I just have to say last Thursday's show at Club Fred was a good one!
Thanks should be given to Lydia of Tanjora Tribal Bellydance for putting this baby together, and of course many thanks should be extended to Solace for coming to town. We are so fortunate they did.
Thanks and kudos to all the performers... not least of which was the musicians who thrilled us.... and to the dancers: Tanjora, Aleph, Pat Krikorian, and to my Tek Ka Doom partner Lisa (Samara). (We lived! And I didn't screw up too badly!) And extra special thanks to Blue Damsel for appearing and entertaining us all.
I love Love LOVED the show. Everyone was beautiful. You couldn't ask for a better mix.
I'm telling you, it was a night of great performance and fantastic music. People dancing, music flowing... We were lucky to have it in Fresno.

As someone who knows how hard it can be to do a drum solo duet, I was very impressed with how together you guys were. It was great fun watching you both. Of course everyone else was just great in the opening of the show. Unfortunalty I could not stay for the rest of it. -

I had a lot of fun even though I was hacking up both my lungs!
I loved the diversity of the performances.... and of course it was great to hear Solace live.
I think my favorite wa sthe full on pagan drum ritual at the end, with Gracie shimmying like there was no tomorrow, and Joy and Rhiannon doing Zar hair flings on the floor!!!

I agree that was probably one of the best parts of the night. I dig Gracie.
Ya know... we should do it again.......................
Oh, and have fun at Rakkasah, Tanjora peoples! I'm bummed I have to miss your performance. -

Dancing int he cabaret room was wierd, too much bright light. But it was fun.
Got to see DaVid dance, he kicked butt as usual.
Yeah, I was thinking we need to have a hafla soon. Maybe in a few weeks, before Ren Faire. So we can get some more hair flinging going on...
