There's a workshop in Visalia this weekend...
DaVid of Scandinavia in Fresno in July...
The Caba-Ribal coming up in November in Bakersfield...
Anyone else have anything coming up? The Central Valley is large, ya know... South to North, there are a lot of people, and I assume a lot of dancers...
So shouldn't there be more happening?
If you know of something, post it here. You can put it in a thread... this thread... start another... whatever. Or you can make it an event listing for this tribe.
Either way, let's promote the dancin'. It's nice to know who's out there doing things, where we can go seem them, or take a class, or a workshop, or whatever.
That's the WHOLE reason for this tribe. Feel free to post your upcoming new classes starting, your events, your shows, your fundraisers... or a commentary about something you've done or seen or whatever.
Just... be nice. Be respectful of others. Remember that not everyone dances the same, or views dancing the same. Those are the only rules here. Promote, promote, promote!

David and I will be in Fresno and Bakersfield in July.
He is teaching in Fresberg, we are both teaching in Bakersfield.
Lydia is hosting Fresno, Seneca at Bhaiyya Almas is hosting Bakersfield.
Fun subjects in both events.
How hot is it there anyway??

I heard a rumor that we are getting a new computer soon though, so maybe I'll be back and everpresent likeI was before!

As for dancing stuf, members of Tanjora and students will be doing some pre-show stuff for the Shakespeare plays out at Woodward Park. We start this weekend and it goes through mid September. The first 4 weekends they are doing Midsummer's Night's Dream, and then the next 4 are Macbeth.
It's free, just $3 a car to get in to the park.
We dance at 7:00pm Fridays and Saturdays. There are a couple dates where Pipe on the Hob will be playing instead of us dancing, I forget which ones right now (since I'm not at my home computer!).
A lot of the dancers will be my level 2 students, so come out and support them as they get performance experience!!!
As for me, mostly just private parties and restaurants. I did a Kiwanis Club luncheon last week!
That's it so far. In August Tanjora dances at Tribal Cafe for the Inland Empire MECDA event.
Anyone going to Global Groove at Samba tomorrow night? Tina and I are going so we can see the whirling dervishes, and to see who the bellydancers are.
