If you know me, you know just how ridiculous those words would sound coming out of my mouth.

But I'm still doing it.

Fooooor those of you who have NOT yet introduced yourselves in this tribe... shame. SHAME, I say.

We now know Joy, Mahasti, Brigiett, Patrisha, Katrina, Lydia, Lisa (one of them), and muckieha.

If you haven't yet introduced yourself in this tribe, your name is about to be listed here. Who are you? Why are you here?

See the other list of questions you have the option of answering for our informational enlightenment here:

www.tribe.net/action/Trac...1ba463af5e24

or here:

fresno.tribe.net/thread/b9...a463af5e24

So... from whom do we need to hear? Hm?

Banana-Anna
Pris
Jericho St. Etienne (he's new and welcome to Fresno btw)
MaryLee
Person-with-no-name-but-nakey-picture-with-horse-who-leaves-no-identifying-info-and-I'm -probably-out-of-luck-asking-for-it-from-this-person-but-oh-well-I've-tried
Jordana
ScottG
Liz aka Sibylla
Dez
Lisa (not the one who's introduced herself already. Yeah, I know her, but all y'all might not)
Alecia
Sulema K
Robin M
Lisa-El to the eye to the es to the iz-a
Rev. Mark
B
Brandon F. J (Dude! I didn't know you'd joined this tribe! You're everywhere, ain'tcha? ;)
rachael
Nileen C
Yasmine (of the scary sword)
Kathryn Devray (I know who you are. Just wondering if you want anyone else to)
Roy
Lisa (GIRLFRIEND, I miss you!)

Now... it surely isn't required that you post or even make yourself known in this tribe. I won't kick you out.

You don't have to know anything about belly dance to say something. No kicking out for that, either.

Everyone is welcome. Everyone. As long as we all play nice.

I'm just inviting everyone to get to know one another. I'm big on a sense of community in this...uh... community.

Me. The antisocial introvert. Go figure.

So sound off (one two) please.

I couldn't remember if I introduced myself yet or not... but here goes anyways....

My name is Tom (but I'm sure you all figured that out already)

I live is the Visalia, CA (damn it's hot here)

I don't dance... unless properly provoked by alcohol or women.
I drum, to get you all to dance for me. I drum mostly Arabic with some experience in Turkish, Greek, and Armenian. I play doumbek, tar and riq. Right at the moment, I don't play for any groups. But I do hang out with Tanjora from time to time.

In addition to that, I also Juggle with my brothers. I'm a professional fire breather/eatter as well as an Occupational Therapist a local hospital. I'm performing with my brothers this weekend in San Fran. Come check us out!

I like long walks on the beach.... wait, that's for a different group.... never mind.

I'm always looking for places to play the drums. especially if people will dance. Makes the music that much more alive.

    dance on!

    I wasn't listed, but I'll introduce myself anyway ;)

Take a minute and introduce yourself.
    Who are you? Diviny

    Where are you? Fresno,Ca

Who do you dance with (or are you on your own as a dancer)? Instruction from Zamoras, and soon to be Tanjora

What's your style (or styles, or lack thereof, or what styles do you find interesting)? I love Tribal/ Tribal Fusion so I'm excited about being able to pick that up soon.

How'd you get started? I've wanted to do it since I was a kid and my mom setup lessons at Zamoras for me in December of 2000 as a Xmas gift.

I'm just trying to meet more in the bellydancing community and see what events go on in the CV.

I was not listed either, I will also introduce myself

I am Pam...I live in Lake Isabella (Kern River Valley) used to take lessons in the 70's, got re-interested. Learning via DVD's. I do not dance with any groups but looking forward to November 6th in Bakersfield. I love watching Ansuya but I am amazed by Rachel Brice.

I am truly touched by the kindness of this and other tribes I have joined. Its like one big family. I have recieved a lot of recommendations and helpful hints.

      Just feeling the love.

      Pam

Im not listed either :( Woe is me!! lol...

Ok Im Greer. Im 25, live in Bakersfield and I dance with Tribal Underground (led by Robin DenBeeman). Been dancing for over 4 yrs now and over 1 yr in Tribal Fusion... definitely what Im made for. Love dancing, love music. I work front desk at a hotel where I am extra peppy and I go to Bakersfield College, studying Graphic design--- where all my pep leaves me and I wear an eternal scowl on my face from the crappy parking situation.

Um yeah.... so thats me. I love Tribal Underground cos we each have our own little job and responsibility... mine is organizing and co-ordinating events and the website (so I will be lurking here often scouting out new events). You all already know Katrina... shes part of our troupe too. Tribal Underground rules the school i tell you!

HEY!!!!!!! CABA_RIBAL!!!! We want to sign up! Where do I get a performer application???

        Peace out my homies- Greer

    Hi-hi-hi-hi

    Pam, Tom, Diviny, Greer....

Y'all weren't in the tribe when I first started this thread, but I'm glad you found it and spoke up!

So... welcome. Not that I'm anybody, but as moderator of the tribe I feel I should sort of make sure everyone gets a warm hello.

Remember, if anyone has upcoming gigs, or events they know about, and wants to put them here in this tribe... start a thread, or just post an event listing...whatever.

Let us know what you're doing.

Even if it isn't bellydancing. I'm not going to carp at anyone for advertising, oh, say... their NON-musical, non-dancing, fire-eating/juggling sorts of things.

    ;)

Spread the word on whatever it is you're doing.

yeah, sorry about that. it was a horrible plug/spam about my brothers and I. We have actually drummed in the show from time to time, if that helps at all... : )

I am here though to support dancing and look for drumming gigs as they come up. just trying to fill up any free second I might have in my days.

      tackless performer,
      -tommy
