Thu, February 1, 2007 - 9:27 PMNow that I have Ananka's upcoming performance schedule I can post ours too...
Mardi Gras in the Tower, Sunday, February 18, 2007. Lauck's Bakery parking lot - 11:30 AM, 2:15 PM and 4:30 PM, catch Ananka for some bellydance fun, Mardi Gras style.
aaaand... The Rogue Festival is here!
Ananka Bellydance 2007, Famous and Fantasy Females directed by Ely Buffin
Imagine Marilyn, Cleopatra and Princess Leia belly dancing! Watch women, famous and fantasy, who have captured the world's imagination in an exciting presentation of traditional belly dance in a very non-traditional form. We present a fast-paced flight of fancy in tribute to a few of our favorite females. Dynamic costuming and music bring these legends to life.
Friday, March 2, 2007 8:30 PM
Saturday, March 3, 2007 5:30 PM
Thursday, March 8, 2007 8:30 PM
Saturday, March 10, 2007 2:30 PM
at Dianna's Studio of Dance North - 826 N. Fulton
General seating, tickets are $7 at the door, tickets go on sale one half hour before each show.
You might notice that a few of our performances are back to back with those of Tanjora... so why not hit two great shows at once? Plan your day, or evening, and get your fill of bellydance fun! I can guarantee you that these shows are not "more of the same". If you've seen one, you surely have NOT seen the other.
So see 'em both. They're worth it.
So says I.

Mon, February 26, 2007 - 8:40 PMwell, half this post is off topic. My brothers and I (Out Of Kontrol Jugglers) will be performing at the Calaveras Celtic Faire up in Angels Camp, CA March 10-11th.
I will be making an appearance at Fresno City College Renaissance Faire the following weekend (March 17-18th) to drum with/for Banat Tanjora. Should be fun! -
